My journey into brain health began with a deeply personal connection. Growing up, I witnessed the profound effects of mental illness in my family, which sparked my lifelong curiosity about the brain and human behavior. This passion led me to study psychology at Southern Illinois University, where I focused on understanding depression, anxiety, and adolescent development. Later, when my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, I experienced firsthand the emotional and practical challenges that families face. This pivotal moment deepened my commitment to supporting others on their brain health journey.
To expand my expertise, I earned multiple certifications from renowned institutions. I am certified by Dr. Sears Wellness Institute as both a Nutrition Coach and Health Educator for mothers-to-be, children, and seniors, specializing in courses like “Traffic Light Eating” and “Feeding the Senior Brain.” I also hold advanced certifications in brain health from Amen University, covering every life stage from fetal development to aging adults. Additionally, as a NASM-certified personal trainer, I integrate physical fitness into brain health strategies.
Today, I serve as an educator, coach, and connector, providing access to resources like DNA testing for genetic predispositions, local clinical trials, and comprehensive education on Alzheimer’s progression. My goal is to help individuals and families with the knowledge and tools they need to prioritize brain health, build resilience, and preserve cherished memories.
